Although I do think the ban time is unnecessarily long, you DID join on an alt account. The MOTD clearly stated that joining on an alt account is against the rules.
The original ban time was 7 years for "spam, proppush, general c*nt" which was before you joined on your alt. 7 years for just that is in my opinion completely unnecessary, but I think the alt account ban cancels out the original ban and you might stay banned for it.
